So.. sorta feeling sorry for myself today if I’m honest.

Woke up feeling ROUGH assss. Felt like I’ve been coming down with something for days and had 3 nights a row at work over the weekend.. guess it figures. My eyes are currently BRIGHT yellow from my liver thing, liver is bloody hurting too, doesn’t usually do this unless I’ve had alcohol.. ONLY, I don’t drink alcohol anymore.

Despite feeling like I’m gonna collapse all day I’ve had to go shopping (and I look DIRE, yellow eyes ain’t the most attractive), and spend all my free time doing revision for my last final exams EVER that start in less than a month (SHIT).

Last week wasn’t the best either… went to the doctors about my eating issues (going on 2 years now.. I want to fucking eat. FGS.), and when he looked through my results from the hospital etc. he said it was probable that my throat problems may be nerve related, and thus there’s a chance they won’t be able to help me at all. He originally told me that I’d just have to allow myself extra time for eating - he then heard that I take at least 1 to 2 hours to eat a meal, a meal that is at most half as much as a normal person eats, as it is. This shit has been getting progressively worse for two years and now I get told they might not be able to help at all.. what if it keeps getting worse?! How does one survive when you can’t eat? Instead of getting a referral to some sort of specialist first I’m trying a nasal spray to help me breathe better (another problem I have when eating).. not sure whether it’s helping yet tbh. What worries me is just how clueless the doctor was, just absolutely baffled, no idea where to go from here. Becoming a recurring theme throughout my life. The only reassuring thing is that he thinks some problems, such as always randomly feeling like I’ve got a blockage in my throat, are just down to my throat being mildy abnormally dilated (nerve related probably again..), that’s nice to know though, I was starting to worry about that, given that it felt like I was really choking!

But I dunno. I can’t go on like this, I just mentally and physically can’t. It’s SO hard and I wish people could understand but unless you’ve went through it - impossible. I just want to be better. I want to be able to eat. I feel like I am starving. All the time. I get stressed beyond belief whenever I try to eat, which, unfortunately has to be numerous times a day. Nothing to help me? I don’t think so.

Anyway. Enough about that.

I’m going to the metro with Jess on Wednesday and I know I should really be sat at home slaving away with revision cards, textbooks, journals and microsoft word but I really need to get away so that I can be happy for a bit, and actually focus. Currently back on migraine meds that are anti-anxiety too which doesn’t help.. no anxiety = no revision. Baaaah.

Life will get better. I am sure. BRING ON JUNE.

Sat here watching all of Lady Gaga’s videos on OnDemand.. and just realising how much of an impact she has had on my life.

Might sound stupid. But with her music, all-round ‘weirdness’, her shows, her drama - my life has been so much more fun and bearable, particularly the past 18 months-2 years. I’ve been so ill and I’m not even close to getting sorted. But man. Never fails to cheer me up. Makes me love the fact that I am FAR from normal.. and gives me something to look forward to, ALWAYS.

I stopped going to gigs and relying on music when I got ill cuz I lost faith in it’s ability to make me feel better. It’s funny how it ended up being pop music that truly helped, when until rather recently (like, 2008/9) I didn’t even bother listening to it.

Heh.

I actually love the woman.

C’mooooon April 19th/May 23rd. Hurry up already.

What kind of impact has number 1 had on your life?
Hmm, Lady Gaga, hahaha. She really got me back into pop music, my music taste has always been quite random, though I’d steered away from pop quite a lot. I love her lyrics, lyrically she is one of my favourite artists, whether it’s the more humourous lyrics, the inspirational lyrics, or whatever - they’re something that can ALWAYS ALWAYS cheer me up. I rely on music a lot, particularly in times of illness/stress/anxiety and Gaga is one artist I turn to a lot nowadays. That particularly escalated when I saw her live in 2010.. I was going through a rough time at the time, well - I had been for nearly a year, and I’m continuing through the same rough patch now.. but I was beyond excited that night and I hadn’t felt that way at a gig in such a long time, just that put my faith back in music and really really made me feel good. That feeling is great. As well as that I love her message, her sound, her look. She’s (albeit in extreme form sometimes) letting people know that it’s okay to be weird, to not follow the in crowd and to be yourself, and that’s really cool. Also, she REALLY pisses some people off which is HILARIOUS, really provides me with much amusement, hahahaha.
